Viewing All My Tasks As A Board

Switch All My Tasks between Table, Eisenhower Matrix and Kanban while keeping the same filters and search.

Overview

All My Tasks normally opens as a table. You can now look at that same work as an Eisenhower Matrix, which places tasks by urgency and importance, or a Kanban Board, which groups tasks by status.

💡
Changing the view does not change which tasks you selected. Filter or search in the table first and only those matching tasks appear on either board.

Open A Board View

  1. Open Views & Reports from the sidebar.
  1. Choose All My Tasks.
  1. Apply any filter you need, or type a search and press Enter.
  1. Choose Eisenhower Matrix or Kanban Board from the view selector.

Choose Table from the same selector to return to the normal list. Table is always the default when you first open All My Tasks.

💡
Tip: Narrow the table first when you want a board for one client, owner, date range or search phrase. The board keeps that exact selection.

What Carries Across Views

  • Your active task filters and submitted search
  • Tasks from several projects
  • Refresh and full-screen controls
  • Clicking a task to open and edit it

Completed tasks follow the normal All My Tasks rules. A board does not silently add completed or otherwise filtered-out work back into the view.

Use The Eisenhower Matrix

The matrix has four quadrants based on urgency and importance. Each task appears as a point in the quadrant matching its current priority.

  • Click a task to open and edit its details.
  • Drag a task within the matrix to change its urgency and importance.
  • Refresh or return later; the change stays with the project the task belongs to.

Because All My Tasks can include several projects, two points beside each other may belong to different projects. Sapience saves each one to its own project automatically.

Use The Kanban Board

The Kanban Board arranges tasks in workflow columns such as To Do, In Progress and Blocked.

  • Click a card to open and edit the task.
  • Drag a card to another column to change its status.
  • Refresh or return later to see the saved status.

The board is a different view of your current selection, not a separate task list.

Table-Only Tools

Grouping, export, choosing columns and bulk actions remain in the table. Switch back to Table whenever you need them; your saved task changes remain in place.

The choice between Table, Eisenhower and Kanban is not stored as a preference. The next time you open All My Tasks, it starts in Table again.

Summary

Use Table for detailed columns and bulk tools, Eisenhower when deciding what matters most, or Kanban when managing flow. Filter once, then change only the presentation: every view continues to show the same selected tasks.
