Encrypt Secrets In Notes
With encrypted secrets in Notes, you can store the most sensitive informaiton and no-one, not us or the government can decrypt it. Just dont forget your decryption passphrase!
Key Things To Know
- Uses the AES256 bit encryption standard used by the US military;
- Uncrackable encryption of whatever data you put in the encrypted field;
- Have as many encrypted secrets in a Note as you like;
- Perfect for storing credit cards, passwords and other sensitive data;
- To insert an encrypted secret, use the Insert menu within the Notes Editor. Once you save a secret embedded in a note, it will be auto-detected, and you can click on it. This will prompt you for the password.
- In shared notes, all users will see the encrypted secret badge. They can not access the data unless they know the decryption passphrase.
- Important note: if you forget the decryption passphrase, there is no way for anyone to retrieve the data. So make it something you won’t forget!
