The Sapience File Agent
The File Agent is another built-in Agent that doesn’t show up in the Agent Browser, because you trigger it in the context of a Sapience File (a bit like the Project Agent). Read below to learn this powerful feature.
Actions: Chat With File Agent
One of the built-in Agents in Sapience is the File Chat Agent. What this does behind the scenes is uses a long-context model (e.g. GPT-4.1 from Open AI which supports 1 million tokens in its context window) and loads the entire contents of the file into the Agent conversation. This is technically CAG not RAG… but the point is that you get an Agent created on-the-fly that knows all about that File. Great for long / complex documents.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Long documents will take longer to load than short ones;
- The small file chat can be expanded to the full Chat intervace clicking the option in the header;
- You an drag the File Chat around your screen if you’re working on something else (use the 6 dots handle in the top left)
