🌐 Website Overhaul
The Sapience website has had a major overhaul. We think this is worth highlighting in the release notes as it now does a much better job of communicating:
- What Sapience is, and isn’t
- What its great for; what its built for;
- The major parts of Sapience;
- How its different to other systems, both in concept and in specific.
- Below is a screenshot of all the parts of the website now. Some highlights worth checking out: Pricing is now one single list of all features; Buyer’s Matrix compares Sapience to Claude, Co-Pilot etc. There are dedicated competitive deep dives (”kill sheets”) for those that want more info. The platform pages and the product pages have all been rebuilt.
- The best part? She (Sapience) wrote these pages about herself based on her knowledge of the code and the technical documents!

🛠️ New Major Feature: Connected Apps
- Sapience has long supported connecting to a huge library of 3rd party apps, but this was always done by your org admin and delivered as skills. i.e. targetted squarely at enterprise users. With this release, we have added self-service connected apps to the system.
- Pick an app right in the chat box — a new picker lets you choose which app the agent uses for your next message.
- Individual Apps Released:
- Dropbox: Have Sapience search for files and data, and work with Dropbox content without having to manually put the data into Sapience
- Notion: Have Sapience search for pages and data, and work with Notion content without having to manually put the data into Sapience
- Google Mail (GMail): Have Sapience read emails, reply to emails, triage emails for you with Google Mail.
- Google Sheets: Have Sapience read and edit your Google sheets, directly by Agents and in Chat.
- Google Drive: Have Sapience search for files and data, and work with Drive content without having to manually put the data into Sapience
- LinkedIn: Sapience can read your profile, draft messages, post messages and read other LinkedIn content via Agents or right from within Chat.
- Canva: create designs, retrieve previous work, all from within Sapience.
- Enterprise Apps Released 🔒:
- Outlook/Microsoft: Have Sapience read emails, reply to emails, triage emails for you with Outlook / Microsoft 365 / Office / Exchange.
- SharePoint: Have Sapience search for files and data, and work with Sharepoint content without having to manually put the data into Sapience.
- Microsoft OneDrive: Have Sapience search for files and data, and work with OneDrive content without having to manually put the data into Sapience
- NEW Five enterprise integrations added — Salesforce, HubSpot, SAP, Xero, and Workday join the catalog (Microsoft apps also relabeled). (fe 2026.06.02) 🔒 Enterprise
- Orgs can hide Connected Apps — a new organization setting lets an org turn the Connected Apps feature off in the client. (be 2026.06.06) 🔒
🎤 New Major Feature: Sapience Dictate
- Major - Sapience Dictate: have Sapience listen to you and transcribe your speech in ANY app on your computer - great for emails, Word docs, Claude Code, or anywhere you want to punch out copy fast. Dictate with Sapience Desktop is now a simple
Alt+Dtoggle: tap to start, tap to stop, transcript lands on your clipboard. No "hold," no Accessibility permission. On Mac its Option + D. Its also available in the web app for easy dictation/paste workflows anywhere in the web app.
- This extends the overall Sapience Voice suite to now cover live-voice-agents, write with Voice, Dictate anywhere, and the existing Voice → Prompt workflows available in Chat and anywhere you see the blue microphone icon in Sapience.
🧠 Sapience Agents & Chat
New AI Technology Integrated:
- NEW AI Tech — Anthropic Claude Opus 4.8 — our most capable model, added the same day it launched (May 28). Same price and context window as 4.7, and now the default model for planning.
- NEW AI Tech — Anthropic Fable & Mythos: we supported Fable 5 and the Mythos series models from Anthropic the day they were released. Please note that on June 12th, the US Government caused Anthropic to take Fable/Mythos down for all customers worldwide. But we supported them the day they were released 🙂 We can say this about them — they are powerful models, but for most users irrelevant. They are very slow, very expensive, and amazing at use cases that most humans do not need.
- NEW AI Tech — Google Gemini 3.5 Flash — fast, low-cost, with a 1-million-token context window. Now the default for chatting with files, and available across the model picker.
- Gemini 3 Flash (Preview) also arrived earlier in the month.
- NEW AI Tech — OpenAI Image 2 — we upgraded the default image generation model to OpenAI’s latest and newly released Image generation v2.
- NEW AI Tech — OpenAI Voice 2 — we upgraded the default realtime (two-way) voice model to OpenAI’s latest and newly release Voice 2 engine.
Features & Enhancements:
- NEW Chat with a whole folder — right-click a folder and start a conversation across everything inside it.
- UX: Full model catalogue everywhere — we have exposed the curated model list immediately under the Chat input box to make it easier for users to find. This has been available for 18 months hidden behind Advanced, and many users didn’t know it was there.
- UX: Attach Existing Resources (things already in Sapience) to any Chat: previously, the chat attachment button (paperclip) only allowed you to upload new files, and if you wanted to chat with resources already in Sapience (Files, Notes, etc) you had to get to them through other pathways. Now you can easily select an existing resource right from the Chat interface.
- UX: Group chat for the whole project — every project member can now easily chat with the project's group, not just one-to-one with the project agent. Group chats have been supported since 2024, but continue to be unknown to many users, so trying to improve the discoverability.
- One canonical Save-to-PowerPoint flow — there is now a single, frontend-driven "Save to PowerPoint" path: chat detects a generated slide and offers to save it as a PowerPoint file. The older backend agent-side PowerPoint-generation tools were retired in favor of this one flow.
- Plan Mode Improvements:
- See the agent's plan and summary — agent messages now carry "See Plan" and "See Conversation Summary" buttons.
- Step-by-step plan progress — plans are now broken into typed, ordered steps that show live progress in a floating bar, and the agent works through them to completion. An un-ignorable approval prompt now appears for a new plan, reliably reaches the agent over all connection types, and the plan bar flips to "Approved" the instant you approve. The bar is also a draggable outline panel.
- Plans that stick — the agent's plan is saved to the conversation and quietly reinforced each turn, so it doesn't drift on long tasks.
- Plan mode is opt-in per request — the agent can no longer enter plan mode unprompted.
- 30-minute conversations — a new "Use Websockets for long polling" option removes the old ~4-minute cutoff, so long agent runs don't get dropped.
- Sharper long-conversation memory — key passages are preserved verbatim when a long chat is summarized, so detail survives.
- Redesigned composer — a cleaner, full-width input with quiet chips for Thinking, Skills, Apps, and Advanced. fe 2026.05.19
- "Touch up text" — the "Edit HTML" button is renamed to the friendlier "Touch up text." fe 2026.05.20
- Agent Tool - Send Email Attachment: Your agent can send email with file attachments — a generated report or file can be emailed directly to a recipient. Try this out with the Report skill!
- Agent Tools:
- Faster Code sandbox — agents can spin up a secure, isolated cloud computer, write and run real code in it, and return the results and files to your conversation. Only available in select Agents.
- Claude Code Based Excel Tools & Skills — Build real spreadsheets & financial models — the full spreadsheet skill runs inside the sandbox, so the agent produces a genuine, formula-correct Excel workbook (validated end-to-end) — not just a table in chat. Only available in select Agents.
- Run Python: All Agents got the ability to quickly write/execute code in a secure isolated sandbox.
- New file versions from the agent — the agent can save a v2/v3 of an existing file, keeping the version history intact. be 2026.05.22
Agent Skills (New & Changed)
- New Report skill (global) — generate a polished report that looks great on screen and when printed/PDF'd, shareable behind a password-protected link, and optionally emailed to recipients. Terrific if you’re producing long-form work that you want to be both well written and “good lookin’”.
- New Data Dashboard skill — a dashboard with KPI tiles and interactive, responsive charts that adapt to light/dark themes. be 2026.05.20
- Crisper graphics — the Infographic skill now produces sharp vector (SVG) graphics by default, plus a new inline-svg-graphics skill.
- AI Store is browsable — 12 existing skills are now categorized and visible in the public store.
- Visual skills brainstorm first — image/diagram skills clarify what you want before generating.
- Tabs renamed — the store's tabs are now simply "Agents" and "Skills".
🖥️ Sapience Desktop
- New Voice chat from anywhere — a global shortcut (
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V) starts a realtime voice conversation from whatever app you're in; Sapience stays hidden in a small popup. fe 2026.05.28
- New One-tap dictation — push-to-talk is now a simple
Alt+Dtoggle: tap to start, tap to stop, transcript lands on your clipboard. No "hold," no Accessibility permission. fe 2026.05.26
- Instant feedback — the dictation popup flips to "Transcribing…" the moment you hit Stop. fe 2026.05.29
- Shortcuts you can read — Dictation and Voice Chat shortcuts now sit in the main shortcuts grid, each with a hover tooltip. fe 2026.05.29
- ✅ No more surprise logouts on update — the Desktop app stops wiping your saved login on every update.
- ✅ Stay signed in — an expired session silently re-authenticates from your OS credentials instead of bouncing you to the login screen.
- ✅ One bad shortcut won't break the rest — a single conflict no longer disables all your other shortcuts.
- ✅ Voice popup can always be dismissed — fixed a case where "Listening — speak now" could get stranded.
📋 Sapience Notes
- New Advanced diagrams in notes — opt in to a full draw.io (diagrams.net) editor to build and edit diagrams inside a note. Enable this in Menu > Settings > Advanced. Its AMAZING.
- Combine notes — select several notes and merge them into one new note.
- Full note viewer from Files — opening a note's preview from the Files view now launches the complete note editor in a large modal, and markdown notes render properly in preview.
- Smoother editing — the note editor no longer flashes/reloads when it auto-saves.
📁 Sapience Files
- New Chat with folder: from the Folder Info Card, you can how chat with an entire folder. This uses the newly released Gemini 3.5 from Google which is smart and great at very long context (a folder full of files can be truly massive).
- Preview for Excel and CSV: previously you could preview word, PDF and powerpoint in the browser (as well as view and edit HTML, markdown and text). We added a file preview module for Excel and CSV (just like preview in Outlook or other apps, it doesnt allow editing).
- New Download files in bulk — multi-select files and download them as a single zip, with a progress modal; also available as "Download All Selected Files" in a project's Files tab. (fe 2026.06.09)
- New Download a whole folder — recursive folder download that preserves the folder tree inside the zip. (fe 2026.06.10)
- Files appear instantly — when the agent creates a file or something is shared with you, it shows up in real time.
- Folder info card — right-click a folder for details plus Rename, Delete, and Chat actions.
- Folder creation moved into Actions ▸ New ▸ Folder. 2026.05.24
- One unified "Move…" action — a single "Move…" replaces the old separate "Move to Folder" and "Add to project"; the picker shows both folders and projects as a tree. Works for files and (separately) for bulk-moving notes. 2026.06.12
- Projects in the Files Path breadcrumb — the Files view now shows projects as first-class containers in the path (Root ▸ Project ▸ Folder ▸ Sub-folder), with real Created/Modified dates on folder and project rows. 2026.06.12
- Add an existing file into a project — push a file into a project from outside it, respecting the current folder.
- Smooth file grids on iPad/iPhone — grids now scroll smoothly and support drag-to-folder on touch devices. 2026.06.11
📅 Sapience Meetings
- "See previous meetings" link added to the Meet Now dialog. 2026.05.20
- Better calendar handling — recurring series each get their own notetaker, reconnecting a calendar re-schedules upcoming meetings, and long calendars page through fully. 2026.05.18
- Honest notetaker status — the upcoming-meetings view now shows whether a notetaker bot is actually attached to each meeting (ground truth from the meeting service), and the notetaker now joins 2 minutes early, captures the real bot id, and verifies it attached — markedly more reliable. 2026.06.09
🔑 Other Helpful Stuff
- New First-class public sign-up for Sapience Resellers/Partners — organization validation, passphrase gate, username availability check, and clear field-level error messages. 2026.05.25
- Manage Memories up top — reachable from Menu ▸ Manage ▸ Memories.
- Localization improvements: New translations across Sign-up, Connected Apps, Memories management, the long-conversation panels, the Recently Deleted dialog, and the Gemini model descriptions are translated into all supported languages. fe, multiple dates May 15–25
