Chats & Conversations
Chatting with Agents & teams of agents are at the heart of Sapience.
Conversation Basics
Conversations, either with Agents, Teams of Agents, or with other users are a very important part of the Sapience workflow. The easiest way to get started is to select an Agent from the Agent Selector, and that will take you to the main chat interface.
Below are some key things to know about chats & conversations.
Output Modes
Output Modes have an out-sized impact on how an Agent will behave and what you will get. See the dedicated article on output modes, with the link below.
Adding Files to Chats
Agents generally already have some data to start with, but you can augment this in a variety of ways. One of the easiest ways is to click the paperclip icon in the main chat interface to upload a file. This adds the file to the conversation you’re in. Sapience handles different file types differently, divided into documents, images and data files. Read the dedicated article to learn more about this powerful feature:
Voice in Chats
Use the dictation icon in the chat interface to speak your prompt. It will be translates from audio → text, and you will get a chance to tweak/edit it before its sent to the Agent.
This is a great way to speak longer and more complicated prompts.
Pro-tip: one big reason why people don’t get what they consider to be “good” results from AI systems is that they don’t give enough information or detail in their prompts. Using Voice mode, its super easy to give an Agent a bit more context and guidance, and that can make a big difference.
